TABLE OF CONTENTS

This document provides guidance on how we charge tax and how to access your tax documents. The information below assumes you have registered an account with us. You may place orders as a "guest", however you will not be able to log in and access past orders, nor select some tax settings described below.

UK Consumers & Businesses

All orders shipped to or collected from the UK will be subject to UK VAT at 20%. You can access VAT invoices for your orders as follows:

  1. Log in to your account (or register if you don't have an account yet)
  2. Go to the "Orders" page (link found in the footer of every page)
  3. Click on the "Details" link of the order you wish to view
  4. Click the "PDF Invoice" button at the top of the page (if the button is not showing, your order may be awaiting payment confirmation)
  5. The invoice will show the VAT paid and is valid as a VAT invoice / receipt

From May 2024, we will no longer be able to supply outside the UK. The rest of this article will be removed shortly.

EU Consumers

As of August 2023, this guide is no longer up to date, and you may now be liable for import charges when receiving orders from us outside the UK. This guide will be updated shortly.

Following the departure of the UK from the EU in 2020, we have opted to keep things as simple as possible for our EU customers, and we are absorbing most of the additional costs and paperwork required.

By default, you can order from our website to be shipped to most EU countries, and the price you see is the price you pay. Whilst the goods are technically being exported from the UK and imported into your delivery country, we work with our couriers to pay the import charges for you instead of charging you UK VAT, so you won't be hit with surprise charges.

We have unfortunately had to increase the cost of shipping to the EU to cover the additional administration costs. Some countries do not allow "DDP" (Delivery Duty Paid) shipments, and at this time we do not allow shipping to these countries via our website.

VAT Export Account Setup

If you are a VAT registered business in the EU, you will probably prefer to pay the import charges yourself, as this will usually allow you to reclaim the VAT from your home country tax authority. You may therefore select to pay us the ex-VAT price and handle the import yourself. To do this, you must change a setting in your account before placing your order:

  • Log in to your account (or register if you don't have an account yet)
  • Go to your account page (link in the footer of each page)
  • Under the "Company Details" section, enter "EXPORT" into the tax number box
  • Scroll down and click save
  • There should now be a note at the end of the box that reads "Valid".
  • You should now see ex-VAT prices when you check out
  • Please contact us if you have any problems setting this up.

Worldwide

If you are outside the EU, please contact us for a quote. We currently handle international orders manually due to the varied shipping costs and manual paperwork required.
