Payment Methods Accepted

Credit & Debit Cards

We accept all major credit cards (including Visa, Mastercard and Amex) for online orders.


If you are starting a rental with us, payments will be by Direct Debit as standard, but we may be able to offer e recurring card payment option if you prefer. Please contact us if you'd like to make your rental payments by card.


Bank Transfer

For orders over £1000, we accept payment by direct bank transfer / BACS, and we may offer a small discount (usually 1%) for this payment method. If your order is eligible, you will be offered this option at checkout.


Please note that bank transfer should not be used for paying rental deposits, as the card transaction forms part of our fraud prevention checks.


Direct Debit

This is the default payment method for recurring rental fees, but is not normally suitable for one off order payments.


Credit Account

We may offer credit accounts to eligible businesses. Please see our sub-dealer pages for more information.


Payment methods not accepted

Cash

We currently accept cash for in store purchases, however we plan to stop taking cash payments in the near future.


Cryptocurrency

Unfortunately, we do not accept cryptocurrency payments at this time


My card has been declined


If your card has been declined, it may be for a number of reasons. Please check the error message if one is displayed, otherwise common reasons for card payments being declined are:

  • Insufficient funds - make sure you have enough money in your account
  • 3DS failed - use your normal device for placing your order and complete the 3D Secure check if presented
  • Verification failed - make sure you've put in the correct billing address for the card, and entered the expiry and CVC correctly
  • Fraud risk - the payment systems use a wide array of checks to try and ensure that the payment is being made by the legitimate cardholder. Occasionally this may result in declines for legitimate payments. Try a different card or contact us for help.


Are my card details secure?


Our entire website uses SSL, including payment pages. Card payments are processed by Stripe, who handle all the card processing, and your card details are never stored on our servers - in fact, your card details are never even sent to our servers!


Buy now, pay later?

We don't currently offer consumer finance, however we do offer flexible affordable rental equipment if you're still saving to purchase a rig or rig components.
